A group of players are doing well and here are four names that should be
recognised by City fans, they are all for sale to the right price, since
all clubs in Norway needs to sell young talent to financially survive.
One of the most exciting players that could be on the move is attacking
midfielder Mix Diskerud. Diskerud most be described as Norwegian,
but is a USA international. Mix has been linked with several Norwegian
clubs and could soon make a move away from Stabeak and joining
Lillestrom. Great player with a bright future.
Rueben Yttergard Jenssen is currently with Tromso and one of the
most exciting midfielders in the Norwegian league. Yttergaard Jenssen is
still only 23, and one that will be leaving for a life in Europe soon.
Yttergard Jenssen has 10 full caps for Norway.
Leicester should sign a new defender and the name Vegard Forren
is one to watch. Forren has been with Molde for a number of seasons but
still only 23 years of age. Another Molde player to watch is former
Udinese forward Jo Inge Berget. Berget could in a year or two, if
he stays fit, become a great hit in a top European club.
There are of course a great number of players, but still Championship
clubs and in that group, Leicester, are reluctant to look for them.
Recent flops like Bjorn Helge Riise (Fulham) and Petter Vaagan Moan (QPR)
who were all established in the Norwegian national squad might have
scared other clubs to try to sign players from Scandinavia.
Most players that has been a hit in England from Norway, are forwards,
central defenders or hard battling midfielders. That is also the way
Norwegian football is based, on hard work, running men and battling in
the air.
