Pearson must not let
Morrison down
City not 100%, yet
THE CUNNING FOX,
20.08.2009
Nigel Pearson
must be thrilled with the start of the season, getting good results
away from home, against quality opponents like Ipswich and Sheffield
United.
City has shown that they can compete with the best teams in this
division. The game against Swansea was also important and gave us
confidence after coming back from being 1 goal behind.
This shows that the manager has a team with strengths that will be
needed in this division. Youngsters are mixed with experience and
that could bring us almost into the play-offs.
This season will be an open affair and the difference between going
up and struggle in the wrong end of the table will not be far from
each other. 10 points could be the differance not more.
TCF have said it all before, the first 10 games of the season will
give us the answer. TCF has gone back to the early 60's and position
after 10 games has not been more than four to five places up or down
in the end.
With a win against Barnsley we will be up there in the play-off zone,
but Pearson needs luck to stay there.
The fact that there is no place for Morrison in the team riddles TCF.
The player was on the pitch for our first two games this season and
he impressed with his display against Scunthorpe last season,
scoring both goals in our 2-2 draw against Scunthorpe.
Morrison was signed from Cambridge, and is still very young, but I
feel that the player is good enough to play and his record as City
is great. He can play at both left and right back, and also in the
middle of defence.
Pearson signed Neilson from Hearts, and the Scottish international,
who is known for his long throws, might need a few games to settle
in.
TCF hope that Pearson sees the quality in Morrision and picks him
for his next games, the player has shown that he can take on new
levels with no problems and that shows that he's got a bright future.
