Transfers and loans,
the verdict
Wellens, Brown and Hobbs looks
solid
THE CUNNING FOX,
06.09.2009
TCF are not 100%
satisfied with the summers signings and would have seen more quality
instead of quantitiy in the way Paerson have done his shopping.
Chris Weale
Weale looks solid and is good and steady type, but not certain if he
has the abiillty to do the saves that wins us a number of points. He
is not in the region of Shilton, Banks, Wallington, Flower and
Walker.
Jack Hobbs
A great signing. Hobbs is a player worth much more than the £400
000 City paid for him. He is young and a very talented player with a
good knowledge and in a year or two could be an England
international.
Wayne Brown
A good and solid defender that has the abillity to play at
Championship level. Great experience and a player worth every penny
we have paid for him. His start to the season has been impressive.
Richie Wellens
Another experienced player with a long and good career at lower
league clubs. A wise signing which will be very important for City
during the season. Fantastic signing by Pearson, well used money.
Paul Gallagher
Not a player TCF would have gone for. With DJ Campbell and Billy
Kee available, this doesn't really make sence. We would have needed
a player that would have gone straight in to the team and not
someone who looks just a cover for Fryatt and Howard. Sorry Pearson,
this is not well used money.
Yann Kermorgant
An unknown French player who is also a strange addition to the squad.
Why Pearson signs a player like Kermorgant and not really interested
in his services, makes no sence at all.
Robbie Neilson
A player who signed for City on a free transfer from Hearts. He
is a Scotland international (1 cap) and has played in SPL for 10
years. After watching him twice against Ipswich and Barnsley I am
not certain he will make the grade at Championship level. Neilson
has a good throw in and can adjust, but his pace is not the best and
he could struggle.
Dany N'Guessan
A good signing from Lincoln. He has taken the Championship level
fast, and a player that can be very exciting in the years to come. A
player City hopefully will get much use for. Good signing by Nigel
Pearson.
Ryan McGivern
He is on loan from Man City and regarded as a cover for Bruno
Berner. Chris Powell and Michael Morrison can also play in this
position and the loan signing looks a bit strange and should not
really be needed.
Martyn Waghorn
On loan from Sunderland. Waghorn joined Leicester in front of
the season and made an instant impact. Pearson has after Waghorn
joined signed Gallagher so Waghorn will not play much. Not needed,
but Waghorn is a good player.
Astrit Ajdarevic
The new "Patrick Berger", but so far not really much involved. He
has signed a one year deal with the club and could blossom this
season in the reserves. but again why sign a Swede you don't need ? |
