Verma on the bench
Back from Crewe and ready to get part of the action

THE CUNNING FOX, 07.02.2010

Youngster Aman Verma was part of the City squad that faced Blackpool. The young midfielder is an exciting player and hopefully ready to play a part

Aman Verma (23) joined Leicester from non-league club Redditch a year ago. He has spent a few months on loan at Crewe in the early stages of this season. He played 7 league games for Crewe and contributed well while at Gresty Road.

Verma is born in Leicester with an Asian background. Few players with a link to Asia manage to get a chance in English football and that makes this player even more interesting.

Leicester have a large Asian community and they are of great imprtance to the city and the Leicester region. Verma has a past from Leicester City's youth academy, but failed to make the grade in his first attempt.

Verma returned to Leicester in 2008 and managed to get a contract. He has appeared in a number of reserve team games but not yet made his full City debut.

His eventual debut would be of great importance and hopefully his introduction and participation in the Blackpool game, makes his debut closer. We wish Aman all the luck in his attempt to break into the Leicester team.
