News Bulletin, Campbell keen
on Blackpool future
We will be
updating the site with information during the summer and bring you
our latest updates on all Leicester City news that we feel is worth
to print. here is this weeks news bulletin
Pre-Season
Leicester will play Sunderland this summer. The game will take place
on the 31st of July at the Walkers Stadium. This is the first and
only game so far to be announced. We will keep you up to date with
all City's summer fixtures.
Player status
Seven players were released last week. Levi Porter, Billy Kee, Alex
Cisak, Carl Pentney, Astrit Ajdarevic, Robert Burns and Stephen
Clemence will not be with Leicester next season.
Billy Kee looks certain to join Accrington Stanley, a club he spent
the entire 09-10 season with. The N Ireland U.21 international was
one of the players you would have thought had a future at the club.
James Wesolowski will probably leave Leicester and join a new club.
He spent last season on loan at Hamilton and the chances of a return
to the SPL and Hamilton could be an option, but at the moment
Peterborough are favourites to land the Australian U.21
international.
Wayne Brown has been linked with Notts County. Speculations about
his future at City has been in the news lately, but so far he is
still with the club.
DJ Campbell, who spent time on loan at Derby and Blackpool last
season, is currently in talks with Blackpool over a possible move to
Bloomfield Road.
Transfers in
We will update our hot, cool and cold links during the summer and we
will also follow up and all comings and goings. City are still
linked with Jay Spearing and James Voughan. Both spent time on loan
at the club last season, but so far this is just talk and nothing
concrete.
City looks as if they will not be able to sign Martyn Waghorn.
Waghorn looks as if he will stay with Sunderland after spending a
great season at City keeping a player like DJ Campbell in the
shadows.
Former foxes released
Barry Hayles, Russell Hoult, Ade Akinbiyi and Jamie Clapham are
among a group of former foxes that has been released from their
clubs. We will update our "where are they now" section when they
find new clubs.
Manager situation
Nigel Pearson looks as if he will stay with Leicester after two
fantastic seasons. Speculations about a move to Celtic has been on
the blogs, but a number of other names seams higher on the list. We
all hope of course that Nigel will stay and manage to bring the team
further.
